Southern Luv BBQ Is Coming to Davie, Bringing Pecan-Smoked Barbecue to Broward County

DAVIE, FL — August 24, 2026 — Southern Luv BBQ, the Tampa barbecue brand known for its award-winning Cuban sandwich and twelve-hour pecan-wood brisket, is opening its first Broward County location at 6819 Stirling Road in Davie, Florida. The restaurant will be operated by franchisee Dark Mountain LLC and is expected to open with daily hours of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. An opening date has not yet been announced.

The Davie restaurant will carry the full Southern Luv lineup — the brand’s regional sandwich program built around the Carolina, the Award Winning Cuban, the Summer Luv, the Alabama-Slamma and the Hot Texan — alongside loaded mac bowls, St. Louis ribs, scratch-made sides and the brand’s own sauces and kettle chips. Brisket and chicken are hand-trimmed and smoked over pecan wood; no gas, no charcoal.

The location will offer dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering, with front and rear parking, a kids menu and wheelchair-accessible access.

The Davie store continues an expansion that has moved quickly through Florida over the past year. In June, the brand announced a location in downtown St. Petersburg’s EDGE District, signed by a franchisee who committed to thirteen Southern Luv BBQ restaurants across the state. Founder Essi Tadrus has said each market will get room to differ rather than replicating one fixed menu.
